Christina Ricci Steps Up To Cancer

Actress Christina Ricci attended the Step Up To Cancer event in Beverly Hills last night (May 28th).

Christina is lending her voice to the new game, Legend Of Spyro: Dawn Of The Dragon. The game is released October 7th for most platforms. Elijah Wood also gives his voice.

It seems like Warner Bros. have been telling some porkies. They claimed Speed Racer made $20.2 million but it really made $18. million which would put it in third place behind What Happened In Vegas.

"Studios are known to occasionally inflate their numbers slightly on the weekend to appease bosses and stars; last weekend, Paramount Pictures claimed that Iron Man did $100 million in its opening weekend when it actually made $98.6 million. What To Do When Your Moving Is Bombing?

Christina Ricci was out picking some stuff up at Rite Aid yesterday, she didn't seem to mind that she knew her movie was going to bomb hardcore. Speed Racer Bombs

As we mentioned here Speed Racer was underperforming this weekend, since the last update, it got even worse, it came in at number 2 with $20.2 million, just slightly ahead of What Happens In Vegas which debuted with $20 million.

Speed Racer Not So Much

Iron Man is set to crush Speed Racer this weekend. The film only took in $6.5 million yesterday and is predicted to take in around $23m. What Happened In Vegas took in $6.25 million and is set for around $17m.

This is pretty bad for Speed Racer which stars Christina Ricci and Emile Hirsch. Warner Brother's were expecting ALOT more money on this movie. The top 5 is predicted to look like this:

Ricci Wants To Be A Family Film Star

CHRISTINA RICCI wants to dedicate her career to making family films - because she's sick of sex, drugs and sleaze on screen.The star appears in new family-oriented race-car movie Speed Racer, and loved the experience so much she is pushing for more clean-cut roles - and she wants the rest of Hollywood to follow suit.Ricci, who has played sex-hungry tramps and nymphomaniacs on screen, says, "I wanted to do a kids movie again. I wanted to do a family film.
