“I am truly grateful for the honor that the Academy bestowed upon me last year. I did not feel that I was given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination and in an effort to maintain the integrity of the Academy organization, I withdrew my name from contention. In addition, I did not want to potentially take away an opportunity from an actress who was given such materials.”
This is a complete slap in the face to the shows writers, this is not the first time the Greys Anatomy star has bitten the hand that feeds her. There has been several times she has complained about the work she has done.

Katherine has signed on to a new movie called Escape which is based on the book by Carolyn Jessop, whose testimony helped convict polygamist sect leader Warren Jeffs.

No its not...its the truth. Her character had some crap story lines this season. How many blogs and sites posted about the forced writing and the implausible George and Izzie hookup. She even had to bring a deer back to life in one episode! she has actually done a decent thing - she was on most shortlists for consideration and its a nice gesture on her part.
How is it a nice gesture? Sure drop from the shortlist if you want, but she did not have to give a snide comment to the writers.
KH is one ungrateful bitch.
