Ashley Judd is in New York and the actress was on NBC's today show if you can't make out what is on Ashley's necklace, it is a pendant of Afirca.
The actress didn't discuss any of her upcoming movies, instead she spoke about her recent three week humanitarian mission to Rwanda and the Congo. Ashley is a global ambassador for Youth Aids.
Some quotes from the actress, “I was in a brothel in Mumbai last month, and there are lots of babies who are born in brothels because the madams, the pimps and the owners want their sex workers to have one to two children because that traps the women in a cycle of poverty and keeps them in the brothels,” “A woman’s body is not the property of any church, state or other human being,” and to sum it all up “The fewer the children, the healthier the family, the better chance of getting an education.”
Ashley is addressing the UN on Wednesday about human trafficking and slavery. If only every celebrity would work this way.
